Day 47

Reunited and it feels so good

Jason and Team Teter finished the 47 day journey today at around 3pm, with Haylee, Whitney and I at his side. We will be spending the next five days in New York together! Jason is still absorbing the culmination of his adventure and he will update the blog as soon as he can. Please continue to check the blog, as we will be posting pictures and writing about our experience during the 9/11 Day of Remembrance. Thank you for all your love and support, you have lifted us up and carried us through the hard times.

Love, The Teters

  5. Yours is an accomplishment most honored by it’s motivation. Well done Jason. I am pleased to have followed your trek, thank you for allowing us to travel with you. Never a doubt 🙂

  6. Amazing!! Glad everyone made it to New York safely. Have fun!! I think a party to celebrate Jason’s acomplishment is in order when you get back.

    Take care,

  7. I’m so happy you have arrived! Congradulations Honey!. What a great picture of you and Nicole! I listened to the last half of the interview with Deputy Chief J. Jonas today. I didn’t know 5 of his men survived the North Tower collapse and 8 other people . They were in a stairwell. When they saw light through what was left of the building they dug their way out. It was amazing to hear him describe the sound of the building coming down with metal twisting. He said when he knew this was the end for him he grew incredibly calm. I can’t wait to hear about your experiences in New York! Have a great time! Love Mom

  8. Jason (and Nicole),
When I was a boy there was a best selling book titled “The Ugly American”. I believe your journey has earned you the right for a new book called “The Committed American”. You can’t imagine how much your hard work and efforts the past 47 days have affected dozens if not hundreds of people. You have illustrated compassion, hard work, commitment, sacrifice (as has Nicole), humor, acceptance, positive attitude, tolerance, and many things which were not necessarily normal for you. You’ve grown Jason and helped me and others grow just following your leadership. I salute you Jason. Love, John

  9. Jason! It was so awesome to be included in your journey with your blog posts. You have always been a selfless friend and I am lucky to know you. I look forward to seeing you when you get back.

  10. Jason, congratulations on a fantastic accomplishment! Your ride is one of the most inspirational things I have ever followed. Looking forward to seeing you when you return.
